OnStar and Bell Mobility previously made the business decision to discontinue its shared minute program for new enrollments. The program created a single bill and allowed users to share minutes between their Bell Mobility wireless cellular devices and the OnStar embedded in-vehicle calling system.

Effective June 1, 2009, OnStar and Bell Mobility stopped accepting any new enrollees to the program. However service for existing users will continue.  While the shared minute package is being discontinued for new enrollees, such OnStar subscribers will continue to have access to OnStar’s voice-activated Hands-Free Calling which allows users to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
