Fleet Activation

Below you'll find instructions for activating OnStar service in your Fleet vehicles.

Planning to activate OnStar on numerous vehicles? Save time and effort by enrolling in an OnStar Fleet Master Account, which allows you to complete one Subscription Service Agreement for all of your Fleet vehicles. Doing so also allows you the opportunity to provide OnStar with your roadside and accident assist phone numbers, if applicable. For vehicles covered by a Fleet Master Account: Print Activation Guide
  1. Start the vehicle and push the blue OnStar button. (Cellular antenna should have been installed by the delivering dealer as part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection.)
  2. After listening to the recorded OnStar message, push the blue OnStar button again to activate.
  3. Inform the OnStar Advisor the name of the company or parent company that owns the vehicle and that a Fleet Master Account is set up.
  4. Driver should provide Advisor with his or her personal information, including name, local address, and phone number.
  5. Driver will select a Personal Identification Number (PIN).
    NOTE: Driver's PIN must be different from the company's PIN.
For vehicles not covered by a Fleet Master Account: Print Activation Guide
  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
  2. Inform the Advisor that you wish to open a Fleet account and then provide company name, company address, and company contact with phone number.
  3. Provide primary driver information including name, local address, and phone number.
  4. Establish your PIN.
