Follow these steps to identify your system and determine which guide to use:

Three-button system

1. Get into your vehicle and push the phone or white-dot button.
2. When the system says "Ready," you say "Dial."
   Note: If your system is active but you don't hear a response when you push the phone or white-dot button, your equipment is not enabled for Hands-Free Calling.
3. Remember the system response so you can download the correct guide:
   • If the system responds: "Number please."

   • If the system responds: "Phone number to dial please."
     Download your OnStar Owner's Guide
   • If the system responds: "Please say the entire phone number to dial."

Handset system

If your vehicle is equipped with an OnStar handset system,

To find out which type of voice dialing you'll need to use, get into your vehicle and push the phone or white-dot button. When the system says "Ready," say "Dial."

• If the system responds "Number please," use Discrete-Digit Dialing. Listen to a demo.
• If the system responds "Phone number to dial please," use Continuous-Digit Dialing. Listen to a demo.
