We’re ready to help 24/7

We know the COVID‑19 (coronavirus) pandemic has created uncertainty and challenges for many of our Members. During these trying times, we want you to know your OnStar service will be there for you, as always. We have taken steps to ensure our Advisors are safe and available to you 24/7.

Because this is a situation that affects us all, we have turned on Crisis Assist*129 for all current Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac owners. Help or information is only a button-push away.

OnStar continues to support our Members during this pandemic, providing a variety of resources:

  • Emergency–Certified Advisors*64 follow COVID‑19 specific guidelines created by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) which are approved by our physician medical director. Advisors can screen for COVID‑19 symptoms and communicate that information to First Responders when you need help.
  • Advisors can provide routing assistance to COVID‑19 testing facilities near you.
  • A 24/7 Command Center monitors information from the CDC, FEMA, DHS and public safety professional associates for the most recent COVID‑19 information.

While we advise our Members to stay home, if you need to travel, please follow CDC recommendations and maintain at least a 6-foot distance from others. When you need to be out, the services below can also help you along the way:

  • Try the available Marketplace*24 app in your vehicle’s infotainment system for hands-free pay from your dash at 32,000 participating gas stations nationwide. Use your vehicle mobile app to schedule service with your Dealer.
  • Stay connected to news and loved ones with available features like In-Vehicle Apps*26a and 4G LTE Wi-Fi® Hotspot.*33

Please know that we are prioritizing critical Member needs to ensure emergency support is delivered without delay. During this time, you could experience longer wait times. If you are not in need of emergency support, you can also reach us on Facebook Messenger using your vehicle mobile app or via the OnStar Facebook page.

CDC Guidelines for the Coronavirus

If you have questions or need guidance regarding COVID-19, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. They have up-to-the-minute information and safety guidelines. OnStar looks to the CDC for guidance — as well as the WHO, FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security — in our actions and the information we provide to our Members and our Advisors.
