OnStar services help: Hands-Free Calling

 

OnStar Hands-Free Calling was discontinued starting February 2022. In its place, Members can use Bluetooth® pairing to make phone calls while keeping their hands on the wheel. You may experience interruptions in service as Hands-Free Calling services are sunset, including the inability to make international calls between the U.S. and Canada. Why/when is OnStar discontinuing Hands-Free Calling?

We routinely evaluate our services to ensure they provide the best experience for our Members. In this spirit, we decided to discontinue OnStar Hands-Free Calling in February 2022. 

How do I get a refund for prepaid minutes?

Any applicable refunds for prepaid services that extend beyond February 2022 will be processed within 10–14 business days after the last day of service. Any applicable refunds will be applied automatically, and no further action is needed from you at this time.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can call 1.888.466.7827 to connect with an OnStar Advisor who is available 24/7. Thank you for being a loyal OnStar Member. 

What other services can provide the option to make hands-free calls?
