You’re out of the big city, but now that low fuel warning light is on — just as you’re at the midpoint of what appears to be the continent’s most deserted stretch of highway. You relax knowing if you don’t make it to the next station, OnStar Roadside Assistance* can bring some fuel to you.

After hearing “I’m bored!” for what seems like the hundredth time, you decide it’s time to get out of the cramped car and find something fun to do. You push the blue OnStar button and ask the Advisor to locate any attractions along your route. It turns out there’s a national park nearby with some great views. The trip through the park leaves everyone feeling refreshed and ready to hit the road again. You’re searching for your keys to unlock the car, and you feel your stomach drop when you see them sitting on the driver’s seat. If you find yourself locked out of your vehicle, simply call 1.888.4ONSTAR (1.888.466.7827) and an Advisor can send a signal to unlock your doors (if properly equipped). You can also use your vehicle mobile app* to remotely unlock your vehicle.*

Even after those few mishaps and the detour, you’re relieved you’re still making good time. But then you get a “check engine” light, and you’re wondering if this needs immediate attention (which means a delay in your trip). No problem. You push your blue OnStar button and ask the Advisor to run an On-Demand Diagnostics* check. The check can help identify critical issues so you know whether or not it’s OK to keep driving. It’s also good to know that if you do have an issue, the Advisor can send Roadside Assistance to get you and your vehicle to the nearest dealership.
Medical issue? OnStar is ready to help.
Your youngest child really enjoyed her meal. But she has numerous food allergies, and one problematic ingredient must have been in that meal. When she complains that her throat is itchy, you waste no time and push the red Emergency button* in your vehicle. The Emergency provides medical instructions until First Responders arrive. Or, if you’re outside of your vehicle and need help, tap the red Emergency button in your OnStar Guardian app to connect with an Advisor. Additionally, you can help your kids learn how to use OnStar if the unexpected happens.

It’s been a long day, and everyone is exhausted. You need to find a place to stay — and fast. You push the blue OnStar button and ask the Advisor to find the nearest hotel. After checking your location, she finds accommodations just 15 minutes up the road and connects you to the front desk to make a reservation. Your room is booked, you have directions and you’re on your way to a restful night. Hopefully tomorrow’s leg of the journey will be a little smoother.
