Good Samaritan sends help for injured biker

December 12, 2014

“I was on my way home from work, and as I crossed the bridge I saw a biker lying on the ground bleeding and obviously hurt. His wrecked motorcycle was about 20 feet behind him. I pushed the red Emergency button and was quickly connected with an OnStar Advisor who asked the nature of my emergency.* I told him, and also said I couldn’t stop because of traffic. But the Advisor was able locate my car and knew exactly which bridge I was referring to. He then contacted the local paramedics and police and informed them of the situation.

“The ability to act as a Good Samaritan and help a total stranger and the professionalism of the OnStar Advisor was a very gratifying experience. It’s a nice feeling to know the type of people who will be on the other side if I were ever to be the one in a crash.”
