Your first step: sign up for a GM account.
If you haven’t already, sign up for your GM account. Why? It’s your command center for all the amazing things your car and OnStar can offer you. Check out services like Vehicle Diagnostics,* OnStar Smart Driver* and more. Sign up to get Theft Alarm Notifications*. Check out your car’s service history and warranty. If you need info or support for features in your vehicle, you’ll find them.
If your car is Model Year 2015 or newer, push your blue OnStar button or call 1.888.466.7827 to speak with an Advisor and get your service started.
Download your vehicle mobile app
Next up: Hit the App Store®* or Google Play* and download your vehicle’s mobile app,* which can help you stay connected with your vehicle. Because you’re an OnStar Member now, you can use it to get Roadside Assistance,* unlock your car from anywhere, enable Theft Alarm Notifications (so wherever you are, you’ll know if your car alarm goes off), schedule maintenance and more — depending on the plan you’ve got.

Add emergency contacts.
Make sure you add emergency contacts to your information. That way, if you’re ever in an emergency situation, OnStar Advisors can let them know what’s happening and where you are, and they can try to connect you if you’re unable to reach them.
On a trial? Get your additional two months free
If you’re on an eligible trial, make sure you select a monthly plan within 30 days of activation and add a payment method. When you do, you’ll receive an additional 2 months of the plan you select at no additional charge.*
